Ulysses' Closet - Week 1, Day 6

scarf I found at an Orchestra store one day we went there shopping for 
the kids. 

Ulysses' Closet - Week 1, Day 5

 
Today I'm wearing these 
grey Adidas sneakers I know you love, plus a Fred Perry grey polo shirt,
 a pair of black Marlboro Classics pants and an Asos sleeveless jacket. 
Along with my frappe, I'm carrying a Toms diaper bag worn as a laptop 
bag. And I'm also wearing my "formal" perfume, as you call it, Ralph 
Lauren Polo. As you can see in the photo, the reason that I'm looking up
 is that I see myself upside down because I am sneaking into your blog, 
as a Ulysses in the place of Penelope (which reminds me, I would like to
 thank my photographer, who wishes to remain anonymous)

Ulysses' Closet - Week 1, Day 4

So this is my surprise to you: I will post my outfits for you, for as long as you're away. While you were sleeping, I went out to do some chores wearing an Asos shirt, Boss Hugo Boss pants, Adidas sneakers and also an Asos wallet-on-chain, an H&M baseball cap and a Harley Davidson scarf to support my recovering arm.

Chapter 3 - Week 26, Day 2

Last day in the office today, therefore last day for Penelope's Chapter 3. She's all heavy, a bit swollen, a bit tired, but very happy. And she's wearing a Mets baseball jersey, an obscure rhinestone choker and a big, big smile, because our beautiful daughter is coming soon. Chapter 3 - Week 26, Day 1

This is one of the last days at the office before taking off to have our daughter. I am wearing a beloved Betsey Johnson broderie anglaise black dress, a Giles for New Look coat, a pair of Vivienne Westwood for Melissa cropped wellies, a pair of Comme des Garcons ruffled socks and a Lena Katsanidou black lace statement earring (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos and everything else <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 25, Day 5

I love this t-shirt because it is roomy and comfy, but also because it always makes me feel so wildly chic. So I combined this Christopher Kane gorilla t-shirt with a pair of Asos maternity pants, H&M peeptoe booties, a Comme des Garcons x H&M cardigan and some obscure, rhinestone-studded choker (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 25, Day 2

I need plenty of room for the belly, but also a little bit of lightness and grace for the rest of the silhouette. So it's a good thing that I remembered this Asos olive green lace maxi, that I paired with Vivienne Westwood for Melissa wellies / booties and a beloved vintage necklace, that was a gift from my mom (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 25, Day 1

This is a vintage dress you picked up for me, because you found it to be a bit grungy - and I love it. I love it even more since you wore it, making it look even grungier, for our photoshoot by Elizabeth Rovit for the online edition of Greka. I combined it with an Ann Demeulemeester leather skinny belt, plus a leather vest and shoes by H&M (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 24, Day 3

Today I feel that the stars are all mine, because you're coming back. So I manifested my happiness to the whole world by wearing this iconic Vivienne Westwood MIlky Way t-shirt, complete with a Two In A Gondola skirt and a pair of Vivienne Westwood for Melissa wellies. I also wore my hair wild, with a little help from the amazing Kiehl's Amino Acid shampoo and my trusty sea salt spray homemade recipe (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 23, Day 5

Today I am so glad I remembered this vintage cyclist shirt, a gift from you. It's comfy, it's pretty and it makes me feel you are still here, because I already miss you. I completed it with an Asos asymmetrical sheer navy blue skirt, plus the baby pink Adidas sliders, also a gift from you (Marina Vafiadou, thnxxx so much for the photos, my dear <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 23, Day 3

"Whatever fits" is the name of the fashion game these days :P So I wore an In Love sheer tunic over my super comfy Reebok sporty bralet, plus a pair of maternity pants and a pair of peeptoe combat bootie / sandals, both by H&M. And on the lips, one of the most beloved cherry reds of all time: Revlon's Cherries In The Snow (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos and the smile <3)

Chapter 3 - Week 23, Day 2

Today I'm braving the strange weather and the heavy pregnant silhouette with a beloved maxi retro tourist-shop dress in puce, worn with a vintage Carven necklace and a pair of Asos Liberty-floral flatforms. And as you can see, our daughter keeps making me look smashing at the age of almost 42, and while carrying a basketball belly (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos <3)

Chapter 3 - Week 23, Day 1

Today is our son's nameday and I'm so happy! That's why I'm wearing a big smile, plus a Comme des Garcons Black t-shirt, a Tally Weijl bandanna-print skirt and a pair of H&M sandals / peep-toe booties (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxxx for the photos).

Chapter 2 - Week 22, Day 3

Today I wanted to feel like a rock chic - I love feeling like a rock chic, I miss feeling like a rock chic with my big fat belly and my even bigger clothes! So I combined a pair of Asos maternity leather shorts with a Designers Remix Collection shirt, H&M sandals / peep toe booties, a Chanel earring and my beloved MAC Lady Danger lipstick (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 22, Day 1

Once more, this dress comes to my rescue from the heat. Actually it's a very very long black tank top / dress, by Lena Katsanidou, complete here with an Elena Syraka necklace and my comfy-chic H&M sandals / peeptoe booties (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 21, Day 4

Pants day today - this Comme des Garcons pair makes me feel comfortable, not bulky. I also wore a grass-green Topshop top, leaving undone the bottom buttons on the back (I am cheating for some extra belly room) and the baby pink Adidas slides you gave me. I don't usually include my bags on this blog, and I know that you are not a fan of this bag in particular, but I wanted to include my beloved Balenciaga floral bag because Maria Athanasiadou, my photographer, loves it (thanxxxx for the photos dear!).

Chapter 3 - Week 21, Day 3

It's so frigging hot again today! And it's going to be, all week long. So I had no choice but to wear something barely there, aka my Adidas sports bra (a gift from you), a traditional Nigerian cotton eyelet wrap skirt and my Adidas slides (also a gift from you). Plus, my beloved Katerina Psoma enamel evil-eye pendant Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos.

Chapter 3 - Week 21, Day 2

To tell you the truth, I was amazed by how good I look on the photos today, given the fact that 1. I am starting to feel really heavy, 2. I am running out of clothes that still fit me :P. So I am wearing only roomy and stretchy things by now - today it's an oldie, goldie, super soft and super comfy American Vintage cotton top, a Tally Weijl floral skirt, those Fullah Sugah flatform sandals that make my legs and feet feel light(er). And I topped it all with a piece of jewelry I absolutely love, this statement necklace that was a gift from you. Besides the hormone "shots" :P, my face looks so serene and refreshed with Korres Red Grape Sunscreen Face Cream SPF 50 (sun protection, antiaging action, plus a gentle, sunkissed tint I totally love), Dolce & Gabbana purple liquid eyeliner and the perfect pink lipgloss, Clinique Long Last Glosswear in 26 Woo Me. And the hair also looks quite good, I am wearing my trusty formula of homemade salt water spray (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 21, Day 1

Today I remembered this H&M horse-printed top, a gift from you. Today I wanted to take you with me wherever I went and wearing this top I know you love, was the closest to that. It did not quite fit around the belly, so I wore it with a crochet rosette brooch handmade by me. And I completed the look with two trusty maternity pieces of mine, my Asos asymmetrical navy-blue sheer skirt and my Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 20, Day 5

Here is my black and breezy tourist-shop dress, the next best thing to being naked, because no piece of clothing seems to be comfortable enough these days. You see, I'm approaching the 8th month and I'm huffing and puffing my way through the day - I need all the help I can get through my clothes. I added this lace and crochet necklace that I actually made myself some time back, by tying together a piece of black lace and an art de la table piece of crochet I discovered in a small shop at Kypseli (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 20, Day 4

Today I needed some colors and textures, because I'm starting to feel and look sooo heavy. I combined this light blue / green Underground pleated skirt with a Katerina Alexandraki t-shirt decorated with crochet, plus two comfy / athleisure elements I love these days, an Adidas sport bra and my new Adidas baby pink sliders. Actually, I love these two pieces because they are gifts from you. And I finished it all off with a Katerina Psoma enamel evil-eye necklace (Maria Athanassiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 20, Day 2

Back in the office, a bit refreshed by a heaven sent breeze. I picked this Designers Remix Collection shirt because it's super light and roomy (the belly is huge now), an Asos pleated metallic skirt, my trusty Fullah Sugah ugly flatforms (I keep coming back to these shoes because they are the only ones, along with the H&M strappy sandals / booties, that don't get my legs and feet swollen), a metallic choker I picked at a tourist shop in Mykonos and a Louis Vuitton Love brooch (brooches are making a comeback, by the way). Maria Athanasiadou, thank you for the eye on the camera and the smile on my tired face.

Chapter 3 - Week 16, Day 5

Last day at the office before the summer holidays, and it's an extremely hot day. So I combined my need to wear something light with the need to travel far, far away from here by wearing this traditional African eyelet maxi skirt. The purple tank top is just here for reasons of decency, the lightest top (that still fits) that I could find in my closet. I finished it all off with milkmaid braids, my beloved Indian peacock earrings and my precious Shiseido fuchsia lip shade (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos and the much needed boost every morning). Well, Penelope will be away for a little while, because she will go back to her Ulysses. Bye for now.

Chapter 3 - Week 16, Day 4

It's me against the heatwave again today, so this magical cotton Parthenis kaftan was the dress of choice. I completed it with Panos Apergis white fringe earrings, vintage fresh-water pearls (a gift from my mom), my beloved Shiseido fuchsia on the lips, milkmaid braids (the next thing to shaving off all your hair) and Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for braving the heat with me <3)

Chapter 3 - Week 16, Day 2

Today I remembered another extremely hot day, about six years back, when I got this printed cotton dress with my sweet mom from a shop in the center of Athens - I don't remember where I got it from, the label is gone, but the memory is not. So I picked up this breezy dress, that reminds me of the long walks around the city that I used to take with my sweet mom. And I also love this dress because it has pockets. I wore my hair in milkmaid braids (the heat today is too much ), a pair of enamel earrings -a gift from our dear friend Areti-, vintage fresh-water pearls (a gift from my mom), a Kenneth Jay Lane acorn pendant, Fendi sunglasses and Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals. Last but not least, I am carrying a quite impressive "prop with a cause": my Chinese umbrella for the sun, since it was impossible to wear a hat today without messing up my hairdo (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the loving eye behind the lens <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 16, Day 1

This is the first day of the seventh month. Lots of heat, and the little lady is getting bigger by the minute. So I searched my maternity clothing stash for a lightweight, comfy dress and I came up with this breezy Religion number, that I completed with a much loved Paula Lakah necklace, beach hair waves (using this tried and true and easy to make home recipe) and my Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxx for the flattering eye behind the camera <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 15, Day 5

I discovered this beautiful, yet somehow forgotten (I have no idea why) striped Whyred wrap dress, which is ideal right now, growing belly and all. I completed it with my beloved black sandals / booties from the H&M Loves Coachella collection, an Accessorize necklace, Moschino cat-eye sunglasses and the greatest red / orange lipstick ever, MAC's Lady Danger (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos and the huge mood boost every morning <3)

Chapter 3 - Week 15, Day 4

Today I feel beautiful, radiant, elegant. I feel like a million dollars. And I believe the reason is that today we're celebrating our son's sixth birthday. I'm wearing an American Apparel t-shirt / dress, a Katerina Psoma evil eye necklace, a pair of Indian earrings in the shape of peacocks, grandma Mary's vintage gold necklace, and my trusted, comfy and chic strappy sandals / booties from the H&M Loves Coachella collection. Oh, and the same Shiseido fuchsia lipstick shade I was wearing six years ago, when I went to the hospital and delivered our son (Maria Athanasiadou, thanxxx for the eye behind the lens, the eye that obviously finds me so beautiful <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 15, Day 2

One more traditional, old-fashioned, bona fide tourist dress (black and maxi this time) will keep me breezy today, along with the wind. I completed it with Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals, obscure elactic belt, original Indian earring and granny Mary's vintage gold necklace (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 15, Day 1

Today I am braving the heat with something tried and tested - a traditional African eyelet top, bought at a market in Lagos. I paired it with my crazy chic Fendi sunglasses, a Tally Weijl floral skirt and Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos and for adding the smile on them <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 14, Day 5

Today's look is a blast from the nineties past in the shape of this roomy, minimal-chic DKNY pinafore dress. I completed it with my uber-comfy Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals, my jewelry obsession-du-jour, this beloved Tiffany heart and chain choker, plus my crazy summer make-up: Korres Red Grape Sunscreen Face Cream SPF 50, obscure electric blue eyeliner, plus the most magnificent orange lipstick ever, MAC's Morange (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos and the mood boost <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 14, Day 4

The basic ingredients of today's look are a Vivienne Westwood men's t-shirt and a pair of scissors. I cut off the sleeves, then slit the fringes and voila, a women's top that is super sexy, cool and also comfy, with plenty of belly room. I finished it all off with my Asos leatherette skater skirt, my strappy shoe boots / sandals from the H&M Loves Coachella collection, a pair of vintage silver bracelets that belonged to my mom and one more piece of jewelry that is also very dear to me, a Tiffany heart and chain choker. Chapter 3 - Week 14, Day 3

Today I'm wearing a summer piece I absolutely adore because it's so light and breezy, and also because it's in the sweetest seafoam green shade and it has bronze snap buttons. It's an Asos shirt dress, and it's a typical example of how, sometimes, the simplest piece can make you look and feel so good. Also, I'm wearing my comfy Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals and a piece of jewelry that I just looooove, a pair of by Naya Ferentinou - I call them "pagan earrings" because they are decorated with ancient symbols of the goddess Artemis, and I believe that's the reason they look so wildly feminine and quite actually mesmerizing. Chapter 3 - Week 14, Day 2

My stomach is burning since last night. And today I'm also burning because of the heat. But common decency dictates that I wear clothes, so I wore "something close to nothing", to quote the immortal poet formerly known as Prince: This beloved striped Collage Social striped skirt (I miss this collection but it's a good thing that Yiorgos Eleftheriades has a new diffusion line out called YESYMPHONY), along with a Reebok sports bralet, my Adidas kids sliders and a silver necklace that belonged to my sweet mom. Chapter 3 - Week 14, Day 1

We're past week 13 and hoping for a twist of luck. Until we find out if we were right or wrong to keep hoping, I turn my head to beautiful things. As I dragged my tired ass out of bed, I remembered this comfortable and breezy, nineties-chic Lena Katsanidou tank-top-turned-dress, and then I remembered this amazing choker that I bought from a shop at the Istanbul airport on my way to Africa, some years back - and then I just slipped my feet into my comfy cool Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals. And then this dewey, yet electrified makeup came to my head as I combined Korres Red Grape Sunscreen Face Cream SPF 50 with L' Oreal Miss Manga Punky mascara in electric blue and Clinique Long Last Glosswear in 26 Woo Me (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 13, Day 5

Chapter 3 - Week 13, Day 4

Today it's unbelievably hot, again. And I have an allergy attack, on top of that. But I realized that the little girl in my belly makes everything look so different - so I kept smiling and I dressed my belly in an Amplified Aladdin Sane tank dress, and my tired feet in my Fullah Sugah trusty ugly flatform sandals, my ankles in two beloved custom-made ankle bracelets (one made out of black Swarovski crystals, a gift from my mom, and the other one made out of pearls by the healing hands of Stellar, top makeup artist and soul sister) and my neck in an Accessorize star necklace (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxxx for the photos)

Chapter 3 - Week 13, Day 2

I've blogged before about the virtues of the good old-fashioned tourist dress. So with the heat still going strong, I reached for a maxi puce piece I picked up some years back in a souvenir shop at Loutraki. In an effort to get my pregnant silhouette look a bit more "defined", I loosely tied as a belt a silk scarf that belonged to my mother and I completed the look with Stellar's custom-made pearl ankle bracelet, Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals, Fendi sunglasses and a Maria Mastori wood and metal necklace (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos <3)

Chapter 3 - Week 13, Day 1

The heat is back with a vengeance today, so I wore this linen, wrinkle-prone, yet infinitely comfy and breezy Asos dress, complete with my beautiful and comfortable strappy shoe boots from the H&M Loves Coachella collection. Chapter 3 - Week 12, Day 4

Today I'm wearing one of my favorite t-shirts ever, because I love this naughty girl with the neon pink skirt and the New York Dolls neon pink lettering. I paired it with two comfy go-to maternity pieces, my Asos leatherette skirt and my Fullah Sugah ugly flatform sandals. The coral-shell necklace my dad gave me a long long time ago and my lovely Fendi sunglasses (from Panaidis Eyewear Boutique) complete the look (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photo and the boost <3).

Chapter 3 - Week 12, Day 2

This is a beautiful, sunny day and I'm glad that we'll send the rest of it together. I'm wearing an Osklen top, a Reebok sports bra (best invention ever for the pregnant woman), H&M bermuda shorts, my beloved strappy shoe boots from the H&M Loves Coachella collection and a vintage long necklace, a gift from dear friend Stefanos Zaousis (Maria Athanasiadou, thnxxx for the photos).

Chapter 3 - Week 12, Day 1

Today is the first hard day in a hard week, love. You know that, we all know that. Yet here we are, still standing strong, not in the "business-as-usual" way, but in the sense that not losing our strength, our courage, our grace right now, is imperative.
